How to reinstall software for V305 printer

I downloaded Windows 8.1 on my Inspiron all-in-one and it kicked off my wireless printer. I've tried everything to try to reconnect it. Someone suggested that I reinstall the software for the printer (Dell V305 All In One Inkjet Printer Service Tag:  | Express Service Code: .) I looked around, but can't seem to find a disk for that software. Is there somewhere online to download the software so I can try to reinstall? Or does anyone have a better suggestion? Thank you.

That seemed to do it. I just connected via a USB cable instead of wirelessly. It works so that's all I care about. Thank you SO MUCH for your help. You are a Rockstar! Julie

Rick, Thank you for the suggestion. I went through all of these steps, the printer is showing back up in my printer list, but now it's not doing ANYTHING when I try to print. It doesn't even give me the pop up box that says no connection. It's just not doing a thing. This is so frustrating for me because I'm not a tech person and I don't know what to do. Any thoughts?

juliesjazz,

First run Delete Print Jobs to remove stuck print job(s) from the queue, then restart your computer.

Make sure the printer is not usb cable connected.

Hit the Windows key and the x keys at the same time, programs and features, your printer, uninstall.

Restart your computer. Make sure the printer was removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal

With the computer online, go to Dell V305 & V305w All-In-One Printer owners thread (W7) and download the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 8.1 64-bit or the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 8.1 32-bit and save them to your desktop. Install the drivers in the Vista SP2 Compatibility mode

Since you're getting kicked off your network, I would suggest setting up the printer like it was a new connection. Choose new installation, network and follow the instructions. It should prompt you to connect the printer and ask for your network name and password.

Remember virus programs and firewalls will block communications. If you did not install any, then Windows Defender is the default. Try reading...

Thank you. Will try again. Also, when I went to select the driver, there was only a driver for Vista or one for Windows 8, not Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 8.1 64-bit. Which should I select? Sorry for all the questions.

juliesjazz1,

Uninstall the printer again, using the instructions above.

Before installing the printer, on the printer, click on the little wrench, look and reset the wireless adapter back to factory.

Then install the printer.
