E515dw, Scanning always default to 100dpi

I just bought the E515dw MFC. I like that I can walk up to the All-in-One and scan a document to my PC. But what bothers me is that the Scan to PC option always default to 100 dpi. While I can change the setting to higher resolution, it always reset back to 100 dpi when I am done. And if I forget, I will ended up with very low resolution scans that is useless (the worse part is it is hard to tell from the screen until I zoom in).

I can't seem to find a way to change the default for scanner setting. I found it odd that no one on the web seems to have complained about this. 100 dpi is way to low by today's standard. At the very least, one should use 200dpi or 150 dpi as the lowest.

Engineeer,

Go into the Document Hub software and under the scan settings you can change settings The software is part of the driver package from the link below.

Dell E515dw Printer Drivers, Downloads and Manuals

Scan Settings

It provides the options to adjust Color Setting, Source (flatbed or feeder), Document Size, Resolution, Brightness, Contrast, Save as File Type, File Name, and Save to or the destination where you want to send the file (e.g., Local Folder, Box, Google Drive, etc.).

If this is what you meant, it is not what I want. It only initiates the scan from the PC and the "Save" button only saves the setting to the application. The printer's default is not changed.

This is a problem we're having also. There are no options to change the default settings when initiating a scan from the Operator panel. I contacted customer support, and they had no answers. It shouldn't be this hard to change the default scan settings.
