Dell V715W - error 1797 when trying to reinstall printer
My printer all of a sudden quit printing print jobs.... it will print a test page from the computer, it will print a cartridge alignment but it will not print from any program.... it doesn't give me an error - it just won't print... I've made sure all of my firmware and software is up to date, my cartridges are ok - I did have a previous issue with them, but those have been taken care of... with this issue not giving me any error's I'm not sure why it's not printing - it just sits there in the print que... it does let me cancel the print job... but even if I refresh it - it won't print.. anyone else have this issue - and if so, what did you do to fix it?
Thanks,
Stacey

MIDLOGAL,
Uniinstall the printer, drivers and software. Reboot the computer and set the printer back up.

Stacey,
A couple of things to try. Most wireless devices work best on channels 1, 6 or 11. I use channel 11.
There is an issue with a Microsoft program that interferes with the printer. You have to Turn off Balloon Tips to be able to print more than once. If you do not turn off the printer balloon tips, then you have to restart the computer to print the rest of the pages.
Try this procedure and see if the printer installs.
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.
Disconnect the printer.
Hit the Windows key and the x keys at the same time, programs and features, your printer, uninstall.
Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode you’ll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time (powered on).
