Dell V515w printer won't print second job
I can print 1 job. The second job stays in the queue until I do a restart. How can I get my printer to print the second job without doing a restart?

I had the same issue and went to Microsoft forums and after trying numerous suggestions, I saw on the Dell support site from fall 2013, that IE 11 can be the issue
uninstalling IE 11 failed. On Microsoft community webste it said to run from admin command line
ORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*11.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /norestart"
got error messgaes but it worked and fixed the problem
So obviously an issue with interaction of IE 11 and some Dell printers. I asked Microsoft forum coordinator if we could report issue to Microsoft. It would seem that Dell support needs to talk to Microsoft to resolve this and not just point fingers at one another.

SisterTud,
Open Internet Explorer, click on Help, then click on About Internet Explorer. It should show the version there. If you have IE11, then go to control panel, Windows Update, Installed Updates, look for Internet Explorer 11. Click on Internet Explorer 11, uninstall.
Restart the computer, when prompted. Then see if your printer works.

Dear Rick,
Thanks for your suggestion, but I don't use Internet Explorer; I use Firefox. However, I thought I'd try your suggestion anyway in case it would solve my problem. I followed your instructions and found Internet Explorer in my Start "All programs" list and opened it and it was labeled "Internet Explorer 11". I went into my control panel and Internet Explorer is not listed. I called Dell and was told that there is nothing wrong with my computer and there is nothing wrong with my printer. They said it is a software issue. Since I use Firefox, do you have any other ideas?

Thank you very much for the suggestion to uninstall the update Internet Explorer 11. Now my printer will do a second job without doing a restart! It's still kind of slow, but at least I don't have to do a restart. Thanks!

Ra:
I had that problem with only one print job printing too (unrelated to the current thread about a buzzing noise). For me it was due to a problem with Internet Explorer 11 and a Dell printer. I had to uninstall IE 11 and instead use IE 10. see this forum
DELL.COM>Community>Support Forums>Peripherals>Printers Forum>printer hangs after first job
I could not uninstall IE 11 from the uninstall programs
To forcefully removing IE11 on Windows 7 through command Prompt
1. Open command prompt as administrator.
2. Copy and paste below command and press enter.
FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*11.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /norestart"

The other option is to turn off the balloon tips for the printer.
Start, control panel, devices and printer, your printer, printing preferences, advanced, more options. Tell it to never show. The problem with this setting is you cannot tell if you're low on ink, printer jams, Etc.

I attempted to uninstall Internet Explorer 11; but got an error message indicating that all files could not be deleted. Repeated but got same result. I rebooted and tried to print. The situation is now worse, now the print will not communicate with the computer and NO documents will print now.

Your suggestion to uninstall Internet Explorer 11 did not help. It seems to have made the situation worse.

Stan314,
Use system restore and go back before you tried to uninstall Internet Explorer 11.
