Dell v313w - Not communication with computer

Hi,

I am running windows 10 and the printer was working yesterday.

I do not use wireless only usb, I have taken USb out and followed all advice, ie unplugging for 10 seconds the printer power. Unplugging the USB, used another cable, re-started my computer.

I have deleted the drivers unistalled, then re-installed... however it constantly states cannot communication unavailable. The printer cannot communicate with the computer. The computer acknowledges the USB, and the printer is acting normally until I attempt to print somethimg. I have deleted the print list and tried again however to no avail.

Please advise? as I have followed every instruction available with no avail.

Cheers

M

miax,

Reinstall the printer, instructions below.

First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.

Disconnect the printer.

Hit the Windows key and the x keys at the same time, programs and features, your printer, uninstall.

Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal

Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode you’ll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time (powered on).

Links to the drivers can be found at…

Remember virus programs and firewalls will block communications.

Also turn off the printers balloon tips...

(Right click) Start, control panel, devices and printer, your printer, printing preferences, advanced, more options. Tell it to never show.

I did the above following every step as stated, still getting the same error message. It has not changed a thing. Hoping you have another Solution  for me?

miax,

Things to try...

Hit the Windows key and the x keys at the same time, device manager.

Go to the USB Controller section and click the + sign.

Go to each USB Root Hub and right click on it, left click properties, left click power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.

Restart your computer.

Also try Removing computers from printer scan list then restart your computer and reinstall the printer using the instructions above.

What virus program and firewall are you using?
