Dell E525w

I just replaced the print cartridge, and it won't stop calibrating.

If your Dell E525w printer keeps calibrating, try turning off "Auto Registration Adjustment" in the Tool Box, then initiate a manual color registration adjustment. If that doesn't work, cleaning the Color Tone Density (CTD) sensor or developer assembly might help.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of troubleshooting steps:
1. Disable and Initiate Manual Color Registration Adjustment:
Access the Tool Box:
Go to Start → All Programs → Dell Printers → Dell Color MFP E525w → Tool Box.
If multiple printer drivers are installed, select the desired printer name in the "Select Printer" window.
Navigate to Printer Maintenance: Click the "Printer Maintenance" tab.
Select Color Registration Adjustment: Choose "Color Registration Adjustment" from the list on the left.
Disable Auto Registration Adjustment: Clear the "On" checkbox for "Auto Registration Adjustment".
Start Manual Adjustment: Click "Start" next to "Auto Correct" to initiate the manual color registration.
2. Clean the Color Tone Density (CTD) Sensor:
Turn off the printer: Ensure the printer is powered off.
Open the rear cover: Push the rear cover release handle and open the rear cover.
Clean the CTD sensor: Use a clean, dry cotton swab to gently clean the CTD sensor inside the printer.
Close the rear cover: Close the rear cover.
3. Clean the Developer Assembly (if necessary):
Access the Dell Printer Configuration Web Tool: Navigate to the Dell Printer Configuration Web Tool.
Locate Clean Developer: Go to Printer Settings (on the left) and then Printer Maintenance.
Launch the Tool Box: Launch the Tool Box and click "Clean Developer".
Start the cleaning process: Click "Start" to initiate the cleaning process.
4. Other Troubleshooting Steps:
Check for Paper Jams:
Ensure there are no paper jams in the printer, including in the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder).
Check Toner Levels:
Make sure the toner cartridges are not low or empty, especially if you're experiencing low density errors.
Check Pickup Roller:
The pickup roller may be worn and cause feeding issues, which can trigger cleaning mode. You can find videos on YouTube on how to rotate the pickup roller through the secondary service menu to see it and change it if worn.
