Dell E525W Printer Jam/Grinding
My printer is making fun noises. It is still printing but as soon as the printer kicks in to printer I hear a roller grinding sound as the unit picks up the printer. Then there is a paper rubbing sound. No jam indicators show up. Only the grinding noise.

I had the same problem and just fixed it. Alot of people have the same problem, originating from the right side of the printer, where the toner cartridges are. They fix the problem by replacing the cartridges. Replacing all the cartridges is an expensive option so here is an easy way to diagnose which one is bad.
1 When the printer is making the grinding noise, open the right side panel exposing the cartridges.
2 Touch the outer cartridge and fell which one has vibrations. This is from the gears jamming.
3. Remove the bad cartridge. This turns off the drive and the noise will stop.
4 Replace this cartridge with a new one. Make sure the white gear in the printer that the cartridge will connect with, moves in both directions. You should fell a slight resistance from the drive motor in one direction.
5. Close the side panel, and try to print again. There should no longer be any noise.

Open the printer and check the paper path for a paper jam or misfeed.
When the paper appears as crumpled or waded up, carefully remove all the jammed paper.
When the paper appears to be angled incorrectly, it may be misfeeding through the printer, remove the sheet of paper.
Plug the printer into the AC outlet.
Turn the printer back on.
