Dell E525w network configuration 169.254.x.x

I have a Dell E525w printer that's connected to my network by Ethernet.  I do not use the wireless connection to the printer. Despite this, I get a printer instance on my Windows 10 system with an IP address in the 169.254.x.x range. I've noted in other posts that this occurs when a network connection cannot be made.

I have printer instances with the Ethernet connection, and the printer is working fine. I would like to stop getting the 169.254.x.x instance, but I have not found any way to prevent it from showing up.  I'm fairly certain that it is because of the wireless connection that I am not using (and I have disabled wireless on the printer itself).

Any advice??

Enable the wireless connection on the printer even if you don't use this very convenient feature. Check the user guide here-- https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_printers_main/esuprt_printers_color_laser/dell-e525w-printer_users-guide_en-us.pdf
