Dell c1760nw light print

My printer started printing everything too light so I purchased new toner cartridges and replaced them, however that did not fix the problem.  I checked setting in printing preferences based on another suggestion in the forum about this issue and everything is correct.  Drivers are up to date. I've unplugged and plugged back in.  I've used the cleaning rod per the instruction manual.  The manual does not provide any further cleaning instructions.  What is the next step?

I haven't received any replies which makes me think that it is a difficult problem and the printer is shot.  I'm looking at an HP but want to see if this one is salvageable first.  Hoping to get more looks at this thread.

Any experts who can help before I declare my dell printer a boat anchor?  It is a shame that these printers are designed to only last a few years.

The most common reason for getting faded prints is having empty or defective toner cartridges. It is unbelievably frequent that people forget to replace their empty toner cartridges and struggle to figure out why their printers print faintly. Another common reason is that people use defective cartridges.

Does your suggestion mean replace ALL cartidges? Mine shows all 3 full and black half full orginal Dell cartriges. Just started getting faded prints.
