Dell B2375dnf clicking noise screen blank
Hi everyone I've been running this printer for 10 years but suddenly it has stopped working. When powered on it makes clicking noise and the colour screen does not start and the wifi button flashes. Please help as the warranty ran out in 2017. Thank you.

If your Dell B2375dnf printer is making a clicking noise and the screen is blank, it could indicate a few issues, including a paper jam, a failing hard drive, or a software/driver problem. Here's a breakdown of troubleshooting steps:
Troubleshooting Steps:
Check for Paper Jams:
The most common cause of a clicking noise and a blank screen is a paper jam, even if it's not visible. Open the printer and carefully check all areas for jammed paper.
Power Cycle the Printer:
Unplug the printer from the power outlet, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in. This can resolve temporary glitches.
Check the Power Cable:
Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the printer and the wall outlet. Test the outlet with another device to confirm it's working.
Check the Display Cable:
If the printer is connected to a monitor, ensure the display cable is securely connected to both the printer and the monitor, and that the monitor is set to the correct input source.
Check for Error Messages:
Some printers display error codes on the screen or through LED indicators. Consult your printer's manual to understand the meaning of any displayed codes.
Check for Toner Cartridge Issues:
If the toner cartridge is low or empty, the printer might malfunction or display an error. Ensure you have sufficient toner.
Restart the Printer with Data Connections Removed:
Try restarting the printer with all data connections (USB, network) removed to isolate software/driver issues.
Clear Print Queues:
If there are any print jobs stuck in the queue, clearing them might resolve the issue.
Reinstall the Printer Driver:
Ensure you have the latest printer driver installed on your computer. You can find the driver on the Dell support website.
Update Printer Firmware:
Check for firmware updates for your printer on the Dell support website and install them.
Reset Printer NVRAM:
In some cases, resetting the printer's NVRAM (Non-Volatile Random Access Memory) can resolve software issues. Consult your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
Check for Hard Drive Issues:
A clicking noise could also indicate a failing hard drive, especially if the printer has a hard drive. Back up any important data immediately if you suspect this is the case.
