Dell 962 gear noise and paper jam in back of printer

When attempting to print, there is a loud gear grinding noise from the rear of the printer when it initially feeds paper. It then jams the paper and will not feed thru to print.

The white gear on the door rolls free and there are no teeth missing. The smaller drive gear is not missing teeth either and the door closes with no issues.

Any suggestions???
