Dell 948 All-in-One printer not communicating with computer (Windows 10)

Several days ago I was able to print something off of my computer.  Today I am not.  Was there a possible Microsoft update that affected this communication?  If so, what can I do about fixing my problem?  I also cannot scan anything to my computer either.  Do I need to get a new printer because of this?

* Disconnect the 948 from the computer. Do not reconnect the 948 until AFTER the driver is installed and you have restarted the computer
* Uninstall the 948 driver
* Restart the computer when done
* Download the Windows 7 driver
* Read this on installing that Windows 7 driver into Windows 10
* Click Installing Drivers for Inkjet Printers
* Scroll down to #11
