dell 3110cn .....my file sits in the cue
I have an older Dell Color Laser Printer (3110cn). It still works excellent but lately something weird has been happening. I am guessing the problem may have occured during one of the Microsoft updates. (??) When I send a file to the printer, it just sits in the que and it won't go to the printer unless I go to the "printer troubleshooter" inside the control panel/network sharing/troubleshoot section and let it troubleshoot. Within 5 or 6 seconds, it prints my document. Can anybody help me on this? Thank-you, Pat Riley

tooley,
Follow the information below to resolve the issue. Also, update your printer drivers if you haven't don't so.
click ‘Start’ and type Command in the search box. Right click on the ‘Command Prompt’ result in the search results above it and select ‘Run As Administrator’ – this opens a Command Prompt window.
All version of Windows – in the Command Prompt window
Type net stop spooler then press the Enter key.
Type del %windir%\system32\spool\printers\*.* /q then press the Enter key (Note: the only spaces in this command are a single space between del and %, and a single space between * and /q)
Type net start spooler then press the Enter key.
Type exit then press the Enter key to exit the Command Prompt window.
