Dell 1710 Printer & Windows 10
I have an old 1710 monochrome Laser printer. It worked on my previous laptop after the Windows 10 update, but on my new Desktop, the printer appears in devices & settings, marked as "driver is unavailable".
I've downloaded drivers and run them in compatibility mode, but I can't get the 'drivers unavailable' bit to go away, and more importantly can't add the printer anywhere to actually print. It doesn't appear on any of the troubleshooting on in-application menus at all.
I know the drivers are pre-Win 10, but I managed to get it working on my Win 10 laptop, I just can't at all remember how.
Anyone know how I can resolve this?
