922 AIO - can't scan
I recently had to reinstall my 922 AIO due to a system crash. I have been able to get the printer/copier working but I can't scan. I get the message "Preparing Dell All-In-One Center for first use...searching for scanning applications. Please wait." I wait and wait but nothing comes up. I run Windows XP Prof. As far as I can see, the scanning application is there.
Help! any one?

After close inspection we found the following solution:
Warning: if you are unfamiliar with the windows registry, don’t try this
Problem description:
Registry entry HKLM\Software\DellInkjet\Photo AIO Printer 922\Scan is write protected and cannot be overwritten while the AIO center starts.
Therefore the software will not start and hang up while „seaching for applications“ is displayed.
Solution:
1. Start regedt32 and give yourself rights to delete key
2. Delete key
3. Restart AIO center

I have the Same problem. But I do not know how to give rights to key or familiar with regedt.
What can i do?
