5100cn, will not recognize my Cyan ink toner
Hello everyone,,
I had a message on my printer to replace my cyan ink toner. As I was removing the old cyan toner, ink dust was everywhere. I took a lint free cloth and wiped away the outsides of the printer but not the main area where the ink toner is placed because I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like that or not. When I replaced the printer with a new cyan cartridge, it continues to tell me "insert toner". I thought it might be a cartridge issue, so I replaced the old one I took out again. Still same message.
I have an idea that the ink dust is preventing the computer inside the printer from recognizing the toner. How can I clean it or remove the dust so that it recognizes it? What parts should I not touch?
