3110cn Laser Printer Toner Level Detection

I've had my Dell 3110cn laser printer since 2006 and it still works great after all these years.  But there's one thing that remains frustrating:  how to identify the current toner levels.  I still get the obscure "toner close to end of life" visual message on the LCD screen, but I want to get a realtime read-out of exactly how much toner is left on each cartridge.  Seems this should be ridiculously easy to see, but it isn't.

And yes, I know you can use the web interface to see this, but that only works if your printer is connected on a network ... mine is not.  It has always been directly connected to my computer.

I've gone through every single readout possibility on the Operator Panel and none of them show the amountof toner remaining on each cartridge.  How do I determine this so I ensure that I have toner on hand when necessary?

n your computer, in the Windows Notification Area (bottom-right corner of your Windows desktop), right-click the printer icon. In the printer menu, select the Properties or Preferences option. In the printer settings window, the ink or toner levels are displayed for the currently-installed cartridge(s).

Thanks for responding, John.  Unfortunately, nothing that you wrote applied to my setup.  There is no printer icon in the lower right corner of my Win10 Desktop.  So I accessed 'Devices and Printers' from Control Panel.  Even then, when I opened up the Properties for my Dell Color Laser 3110cn printer, and stepped through all available properties and preferences, nothing even remotely close to what you describe was available to me.
