2155cdn scanning via SMB in Windows 10 not working
So, recently, as in the last couple months, something changed on my Windows 10 system that has broken my ability to scan via SMB from my Dell 2155cdn to my computer via the network. As soon as I attempt to scan to my computer via SMB, I get a blue screen of death (BSOD) with the error SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED 0x1000007e in ntoskrnl.exe.
Now, this doesn't appear to be a driver issue, but rather a kernel crash of some sort. I have no idea why it would just start doing this, but I suspect Microsoft changing something in their many windows updates. I did some research and found that Microsoft is quietly uninstalling SMBv1 from Windows 10. However, I checked my computer and it is still enabled. So, here's what I've done so far:
> Checked for printer driver updates (none)
> Checked for printer firmware updates (none)
> Checked SMB settings on printer (everything is the same as it was and seems correct)
> Analyzed BSOD on computer (only found what I mentioned earlier, nothing else)
> Checked SMBv1 is running on computer (it is, but I don't know if this is relevant as I don't know the version of SMB running on the printer)
Anyone have any ideas on what is causing this?
