1700 printer quit working, all lights on

My Dell 1700 printer stopped working, and all top lights are illuminated.  Is there an easy fix, or do I need to replace the printer?

Hello Jon,

Thank you for posting to the forum. All lights being on points to a a failure of one of the system boards, if you push the continue button you should get a secondary sequence of lights allowing you get a more narrow result of the issue. You can compare the lights using the user guide on support.dell.com. In most instances it is going to be better to replace the unit than attempt to repair.

Thanks Joseph for your response.  After doing as you suggested, I did not get a second sequence of lights, so It seems to fit into the "most instances" scenario where it time to replace.
