Workstation 7780
Purchased a new dell 7780 last year in July. Specifically told the sales lady that my intention was to increase the ram, paid an extra $1000 to have 2-32 ram cards so that I can eventually put in 2 64 ram.
Did not get the laptop up and running until December do to other commitments. Emailed the sales lady paid $3200 for 2 x 64 ram. My computer guy tells me they sent wrong ones not fitting
After being lied to for 5 weeks. Finlay got a manager who really did nothing as well to remedy the problem which is that the laptop I bought has SODIMM and new is CAMM will not work. I blame the sales lady personalty she should have told me about this. I paid $7000 for this and now I'm told oh well we can sell you another laptop with 128 ram for $7K
On top of that having screen issues with random freezing in middle of work or screen going dark
Had 6 dells before no issues. This one is a piece of junk that I don't know what to do with

You can install CAMM to replace the soDIMM RAM by removing the interposer board that holds the older soDIMM memory type.

@ejn63 So why is it the those clowns didn't know about it.
After arguing with the sales lady for 2 weeks they did send me a 128 gb ram.
We could not get it to boot. Did not know about this.
All I got is excuses and apologies and that the team is working on it
I will show it to my computer guy
Or I may call tech support I have next day on sight support
Thanks

If I had to venture the obvious reason, it's that the real issue here isn't the hardware -- it's buyer's remorse and the fact that you waited months to physically examine what you'd purchased, and are now bitter because if it.

@ejn63 Yes you are a genus.I have buyers remorse.
I have two other workstations 7600 and 7800 that were still running so I did not need the new one until this January. And I purchased the unit with 64 ram telling the sales lady that I was going to update it
So no I do not have buyers remorse money is no issue what so ever I can buy 10 of them if I want
