will a AMD FirePro S7100X 8GB work on the dell precision m6800?

like the title says basically, but do i need to do any modifications like flashing the vbios, or anything hacky basically

@Chino de Oro​ i dont need to do anything hacky? like just drop the gpu in the laptop and boom ready to go?

As I elaborated, it will work but would not be a straight forward drop-in upgrade.  On the NVIDIA side, users just need to modify .INF for compatible drivers.

Straight forward=  no hacky. 

Meaning it might not work without firmware flash.

As I stated in my previous comment, I was elaborated from unpopular result in my search.  There was a reason that users rarely used the firepro s7100x for m6800.

I sent you the link to a working m6800 with s7100x.  That system uses the driver aticfx64.dll Ver. 27.20.11023.11001

Maybe you can wait for other users input to confirm.
