What is the newest Dell precision 75xx 77xx laptop that still supports a SATA SSD?
I'm currently using a Dell Precision 7520 laptop. I upgraded it with a 4TB SATA SSD. (Samsung 860 Pro 4TB)
If possible, I want to upgrade to a new Precision notebook with powerful dedicated graphics card and I want to keep using my existing SATA SSD. I don't think the newest generation of precision notebooks support SATA SSDs. Which generations still do?

@TheQuickFox I assume you mean specifically 2.5” SATA as opposed to M.2 SATA? (M.2 SSDs can be either SATA or NVMe, and the 860 Pro was available in both 2.5” and M.2 SATA designs.)
I don’t have the answer handy, but one way you can find it would be to go to the Dell Support site, enter the model of interest, then go to its Documentation section and review either the Setup and Specifications document and/or its Service Manual to see whether a 2.5” drive bay is available.

Yes, I mean a SATA 600, 2.5" slot. The slot where a traditional notebook HDD fits.

You can look through the documentation as recommended, or if you'd rather not have SATA be your limiting factor, you can use the M.2 SATA drive externally.
