USB-C and HDMI port
Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing persistent issues with both the HDMI and Thunderbolt ports on my Dell Precision 5530 running Windows 11 (latest BIOS installed).
HDMI Issue:
When I connect my TV via HDMI, the system detects it in Display Settings (correct resolution and refresh rate), but the TV shows “No Signal.”
The issue persists across multiple HDMI cables and TVs.
This behavior started after upgrading to Windows 11 — I don’t recall having this problem on Windows 10.
Thunderbolt/USB-C Issue:
I’m using a Dell D3000-series Thunderbolt docking puck.
The laptop recognizes the dock partially (some USB ports work), but fails to fully initialize the Thunderbolt driver.
Thunderbolt Control Center either doesn’t detect the device or fails to authorize it.
The same dock and TV work perfectly on my Dell Precision 7780 (work laptop), so the peripherals are not the issue.
What I’ve Tried:
Updated BIOS to the latest version.
Installed the latest Intel Thunderbolt Controller Driver and Firmware from Dell’s support page.
Verified Thunderbolt settings in BIOS (Security Level set to “User Authorization,” Boot Support enabled).
Reinstalled Intel Graphics drivers and tried older versions.
Disabled Fast Startup in Windows.
Would appreciate any help or suggestions — especially from anyone who’s resolved similar issues on the 5530 with Windows 11. Thanks in advance!
