TB16 keeps resetting on clean Windows 11 installation (Precision 5530) - not sure why
This is a clean Windows 11 Pro installation, in dual boot with Windows 10.
The TB16 works flawlessly in the Win10 environment
In Win11, the dock seems to reset itself in an endless loop (audio, networks etc...devices keep appearing/disappearing every few seconds)
All drivers are up-to-date (checked with both DSA and DCU)
But here the fun part: before this "permanent" installation of Win11 in dual boot on this system, I made some tests on a smaller partition, and that worked flawlessly ! After that successful test, I reorganized disks & partitions to shrink Win10 and give more room to Win11 -> new fresh installation of Win11 which now gives me headaches with TB16 !!! And I can't figure out what I made differently between the test installation and this one !
Help !

Yes, the TB16 firmware is up-to-date...
I solved the problem by simply manually reinstalling the individual drivers (USB audio, USB Ethernet, Thunderbolt, etc.) .
That worked !
Weird though that DCU said that all drivers were up-to-date ...

Hello,
Have you ever updated the firmware on the TB16? To my knowledge, DCU does driver updates for the dock, but not firmware updates. I'm not sure about DSA honestly. I would suggest manually running the TB16 firmware update, then power cycle the dock by unplugging it for a few seconds, then plug it back in.
Consider yourself lucky that the TB16 even works. All of the ones I've used have failed by now!
