SupportAssist diagnostics, cable error D0901

- Cable - Fail
List of error codes
- Cables - functional tests - D0901

What is this and how do i fix it.

The D0901 error is simply a SupportAssist analytical notation. This is not a hardware fault. In future, Dell will remove these SupportAssist analytical notations from the diagnostic results.

I am passed warranty. My service tag# is xxxxxx Dell 8700 XPS desktop.

When running Dell Supportassist I get the following

Cable - Fail

error code list

Cables - functional tests - D0901

everything seems to be working  but I have no idea what this error refers to.

Did you ever get an answer on this? I have a Dell 8700 XPS desktop, too and just saw I got that error when I ran the Support Assist. Cables - Functional Tests - D0901. Mine passed every time April-June 2022. Now all of a sudden, both times I ran this in July have it failing the Cables functional test.

so, now, my dell g5 se 's monitor is disable !!!

Ran the diagnostic from the Dell Support web page and it passed that time. Still no idea what it was complaining about.
