Precision M4600

My faithful M4600 died.  The OS SSD is no longer operation as best I can see.

I see that this is a Samsung 256gb mSATA Mini-PCI E SSD Hard Drive.

As a replacement I am wondering if a Samsung PM851 mSATA 512GB Solid State Drive MZ-MTE5120

can be used.  If not what other 512GB SSD in MSata Mini-PCLe will fit this.  Prior to the old one stopping it was at its absolute limit, hence the larger unit.

The laptop is used as a secondary unit for now, but while I have removed essential files from the D Drive, some of these are best running on this machine if I can reinstall all the old software.

Any and all assistance is appreciated.

Yes, you can use the 512 GB Samsung PM851 in the Precision M4600.  That is if you already owned it.  For storage expansion, increase the capacity for 2.5" SATA SSD will be less cost comparing to mSATA SSD.
