Precision 7780
Hello,
Last week I received my precision 7780 laptop for work. i9-13950HX, RTX3500 and 64gb ram.
I will use this laptop for CAD modeling with scan data.
Today after installing all the CAD software and graphics drivers, etc. I notice that when I'm in the CAD software that the models don't rotate smoothly. The laptop has no issue in loading the models but when I'm rotating the model I can see that the model shocks graphically.
This happens in Siemens NX and also in GOM software.
The graphics drivers I installed are Nvidia 553.35 quadro rtx notebook + Intel iris xe graphics drivers.
The laptop is on the 240W power supply that was delivered with it. The laptop does not give me any slow loading errors or something like this so the power supply is working good.
It's not an issue with my mouse because this mouse was also used on my previous laptop.
Any suggestions why the CAD models don't rotate smoothly? Thank you.

Edit: the Intel iris drivers are 101.6299 and also the models aren't too heavy for the laptop. Even if I make a simple extrude in Siemens NX it will still shock when rotating the model.

Main problem may be that your CAD software does not use your NVIDIA GPU.
Check your NVIDA driver. Siemens NX etc. CAD software should use RTX 3500 when in use.
Open NVIDIA Control Panel.
Activate Display GPU Activity Icon in Notification Area.
Now you see which software is really using the NVIDA hardware.
New icon will open in Taskbar or in System tray depending your setup.
Here I am running Solid Edge and AutoCAD with RTX A4000 card.
Check also your GPU 1 activity form Task Manager - Performance.
GPU 1 is the NVIDIA card.
Do you see your Siemens NX in NVIDIA Control Panel - Manage 3D Settings - Program Settings.
