Precision 7760: screen gets black during system load
I experience an issue with Precision 7760 on Ubuntu 25.04. After the OS is partially loaded, a screen gets black. Of course it is not possible neither login nor explore the issue. I have found a workaround: it is necessary to shutdown the laptop with a hardware button then run it again. Usually a second run allows to proceed to a login panel and further into Ubuntu. Every my day looks like a bet with a black death.

Hi
Is windows OS installed?
Is GRuB your boot loader?
Is there a recovery option to an earlier kernel?

@anne_droid there is only Ubuntu. The GRUB is a bootloader. Earlier kernels either behave in the same way or are incompatible with latest updates of Nvidia drivers. So I have chosen a most reliable kernel and use it.

Well perhaps ask in the Ubuntu forums as it seems more of an OS issue, than a hardware fault.

@anne_droid I have purchased a Dell workstation as an integral device. That's because I ask at a Dell forum, not at forums of Nvidia or Intel which have also delivered spare parts and drivers to the device.

Thanks. It sounds like an unreachable wish.
