Precision 7720 laptop ssd m.2 question

hi all

i came in possession of a nice   Precision 7720 laptop. it has a 2tb ssd sata .

2tb is very large for what i need. so i have bought two m.2 pcie 2280 512gb cards.

my question is can i just run with the 2x m.2 pcie and take the sata ssd out ?

also is it possible to put win 10 on one  m.2 pcie 2280 512gb cards. and linux on the other  m.2 pcie 2280 512gb card ill the bios boot the linux m.2 pcie 2280 512gb cards?
