Precision 7560 Webcam Picture Grainy/Low Quality

Hi,

I have just bought a Dell Precision 7560 system and was quite disappointed at the quality of the webcam. The picture is quite grainy and of a low quality.

I have let the system run a complete auto driver update, but unfortunately, the quality is still the same.

I can see that it is a well-built laptop, though it will be used for Zoom calls and currently, it is not good and can not be used as it is well below standard.

Is this a common thing with the webcams on these, or could this be a driver based issue (or something else)

I apologies if this has been asked before, but I did have a look around before posting and could not see this.

Thank you for any advice that can help resolve this.

It's only an HD webcam, so if it's a higher resolution you're looking for, the only option is a USB webcam with a higher specification -- the internal cam cannot be upgraded.

Thank you for your reply.

I must admit, I am surprised as it is a costly workstation system for business use, and the camera quality is extremely grainy. Cheap tablets and mobile phones outperform this system.

It seems like an external USB webcam is the way forward.
