Precision 7560 3.5 microphone

I have a precision 7560.  When using a headset with the 3.5mm jack it does not recognize that a headset is plugged in.  It connects to the headphone but the microphone is not recognized.

I'm running the latest Realtek audio driver (6.0.9261.1).  My bios is version 1.7.0  Operating System Windows 10 Pro (x64) 10.0.19043

Have you forget to install Waves MaxxAudio Pro Application like version 6.0.9247.1, A07.

By the end of June 2020 all Realtek audio drivers (version 6.0.8940.1 or later) will now enable the headphone jack making the Waves Maxx app optional if you only need to use headphones. Individuals using headsets must use the Waves Maxx or Dell Optimizer applications to enable headset microphones and work properly.

I stay away from Dell Optimizer.

My IT reimages machines before issuing them out.  they had not included MaxxAudio.  I had them load the latest version.  After reboot the issue was resolved.  As long as a headset is selected when plugged into the 3.5mm audio jack it will recognize the microphone on the headset.

Thanks for the tip

I still have this problem even installing latest drivers.

I still cannot use this connection, 3.5mm jack. The headset microphone works for the USB but not the 3.5mm jack.
