Precision 5690 BIOS power setting vs Optimizer
Hey there, Recently got a Precision 5690 ultra I9 with 64gb ram and 5000 ada graphics card. Having some issues when multitasking two rather low resource hogging programs... Thunderbird and Rhinoceros 3D. I did rebuild Thunderbird index which helped quite a bit but still should be smooth as silk and is not. Previous Precision 7550 with lower specs had no problems multitasking these two, I could even add streaming through HDMI port to TV and still smoother than this system.
The main question is does the Dell Optimizer app override the BIOS power settings? Should I set BIOS power to performance and then fine tune with optimizer?
Any other ideas to tap the massive power of this system?
Thanks

Hello @LouBen ,
On Precision if you change settings on Dell Optimizer it will automatically change internally in BIOS also .
No need to change in BIOS and then Dell Optimizer.
Thanks & Regards,
