Precision 5560 with i7-11850H and RTX-A2000 huge fps drops during gaming (WoT)
Hello
I have a problem with Precision 5560 with i7-11850H and RTX-A2000 during gaming.
When i start to play game it has very big fps: usually more than 200, but suddenly it drops to ~40. During whole game, it keeps dropping to low fps and then going up, over 200fps.
I cleaned cooling and replaced thermal compound to Kryonaut, but this still happens. During whole game temperatures are under 80 degrees, but fps drops are occuring.
I have a dell power manager setting set to ultra performance.
Any ideas what to do with this? It looks like some weird throttling is being turned on, even when the temperatures are ok
I tried to disable cpu turbo in throttlestop, cpu temp is very low, but fps drops are still occuring.
I made a short video, how does it look like: https://www.youtube.com/watch/gbnL_Pd32YQ
Any ideas??

OK, i found the solution to get rid of this sh*tty throttling all the time:
Use thrtottlestop, increase power limits, just like this:
throttlestop -> TPL ->
2. disable NVIDIA Platform Controllers and Framework in device manager
Result: no stupid throttling

Edit: i found some weird correlation:
When cpu usage is low, GPU goes on high performance
when cpu usage is low, it switches to intel UHD graphics. Any idea?

Turn off the "Dell TechHub" and "Dell Client Management Service" services and try again.

Have you had any issues since turning off the throttling? Or have your temps gone up much since? I've read that the reason these Dell laptops have so much throttling is because they have really bad heat management design.
I have a 5560 with A2000 and have really rubbish responsiveness / movement lag / input lag because it's forcing everything through integrated graphics for normal Windows usage instead of using the A2000. I'm just wondering if your solution might help my problem at all.

1. change thermal paste to grizzly kryonaut
2. UNDERVOLT both CPU and CPU CACHE (in my case it was about -60mV, you need to test the edge value, in which your computer starts to be unstable)
3. do the steps i provided as solution
Generally these are weird TDP throttling, not correlated to temperature. Especially CPU will always throttle (it has 2,5 - 4,7ghz), usually goes down for about 3,2ghz. GPU is always under 80 (even at full performance, after the steps i provided)
