USB-C to displayport most likely -- the monitor is fairly old and doesn't have HDMI or USB-C support.

Precision 5550 left side second TB3/USB-C port --> USB-C to DP cable --> P2414H DP in port

@DELL-Chris M Thank you. Right now it is working with a DVI to HDMI cable, plugged in to a HDMI to USBc adaptor to the laptop. But text seems a bit odd.

@5550man That is a complex conversion process. I would try a straight USB-C to DP cable.
