Ownership Transfer Blocked — Cannot Identify Original Registrant

Hello Dell Community / Support,

I need assistance with an ownership transfer case that is currently blocking my warranty renewal.

**Device:** Dell Precision 7760
<To protect you, your private information was removed from public view. All private data was saved to your private Case. DELL-Admin>
**Current registration:** Sweden (under original retailer)
**Actual location:** Poland

**Situation:**
I purchased this workstation through a reseller in Poland and I hold a valid EU VAT invoice confirming the purchase. When I contacted Dell Sweden to renew the warranty (case reference: SR Online:Warranty Extend Upgrade-, handled by Teodor Pavlov), I was informed that:

1. The device is still registered under the original retailer in Sweden
2. Ownership must be transferred before any warranty renewal can be processed
3. I should complete the product registration via the Dell Sweden registration page

**The problem:**
- I attempted the registration but cannot identify the original company that first registered the device
- The Polish reseller I bought the laptop from is also unable to trace the original buyer
- As a result, the standard ownership transfer process is blocked, even though I am the legitimate owner with valid purchase documentation

Not without ownership transfer, which requires having the current registered owner's information.  

You would be better off returning the system to the seller for a refund at this point.

You have a decision to make:

1.  Accept an orphan system you cannot register, or

2.  Return the system to your seller for a refund.

Thanks for your definitive answer, i'll trait this a solution (not really satisfaying, but solution)

I'll prefer to keep this computer, reseller is a recognized company so i believe that my invoice is okay, i mean that if computer will break i will try to fix it by my money.

i didn't had enough money for new precision 7760 but i am satisfied with Dell omputer (it's my first dell) and next time when buying dell i'll take care about ownership in dell earlier.
