New Dell Precision broken again

Have had a Dell Precision laptop for just over 6 months. I bought a Dell thinking it would be more reliable than a Mac and would break less. But I was very wrong.

After 4 months the surface of the track pad became polished through normal use and stopped working.

Now 2 months later the lap top is unable to start up. Parts are not available for 10 days.

How is it possible to work without a computer? It's not. 

Dell this is not acceptable! $4,000 for an unreliable computer. Never again.

At least parts are replaced for free, but only for three years.
