K17A Hub Monitor resolution issue

Following a recent firmware update on my Samsung PC, the maximum resolution for my second monitor, connected via the HDMI port on the hub, is only "720x480 (recommended)". If I connect the same monitor directly to my PC the resolution is correctly given as "1920x1080 (recommended). How do I restore my system to allow me to select the correct resolution when the monitor is connected via the hub?

K17A hub resolution issues on Precision workstations usually come down to how the hub is negotiating display bandwidth rather than an actual GPU limitation. worth checking whether the hub is connected to a Thunderbolt port specifically versus a standard USB C port because resolution handling differs significantly between the two even on the same machine. also try forcing the display resolution manually through display settings rather than letting Windows negotiate automatically because auto detection through hubs sometimes locks onto a lower resolution handshake that it refuses to update without manual override. i ran into something similar recently on a different workstation setup, was testing the Viper Expeder D34C alongside some Dell units for a procurement comparison and the hub behavior was surprisingly inconsistent across machines even with identical cable and monitor combinations. ended up being a firmware update on the hub itself that finally resolved it. have you checked whether the hub manufacturer has released any firmware updates recently?
