Installing SSD at slot "SSD2" in Dell Precision Laptop 7780
Hi,
Can anyone guide how I can install an SSD at the slot named SSD2? It does not seem to obvious as the 83wH battery is covering the area required by an SSD at SSD2 slot. The picture below shows the SSD2 slot with the battery taken out. The battery just sits on top of the slot.

@Chino de Oro
I have seen this before reaching out on community obviously. If you read my post closely, then your post does not answer my question. Kindly reply with relevant material.

That is pretty much the SSD installation process for a Precision 7780. Unless you have mistaken about your system information. Maybe you have a Precision 7680. But, then an 83 Wh battery should not cover the SSD slot, unless it's a 93 Wh battery.
In general, users can change out the 93 Wh battery to a small 83 Wh battery and that SSD slot will be available to use. Base on the location of standoff screw, you can install an NVMe 2230 SSD.

@Chino de Oro
Unless Dell put a 7780 label on a 7680, I don't think I am mistaken. Apparently just looks like a bad chassis design where a "83Wh" battery (which probably should be smaller than a 93Wh but is not) is covering the SSD2 slot. I think I would just talk directly to the Dell sales rep and see what can be done.
