Docking station questions, WD19DCS

I have a Precision 7780 laptop.

I am looking at the WD19DCS docking station.

Once I plug my laptop into the station can I leave the laptop closed and control turning it on and off through the docking station power button?

If I have HDMI and Display port monitors plugged into my docking station, will they turn on and off through docking power button?
