Dell WD19S no longer charges my Dell XPS 9570 laptop
This issue started several months ago. My very expensive Dell dock will not charge my also expensive Dell computer. The dock has just sat on a desk for its entire life. I have run all the updates through Dell Command but still nothing has worked. I would love some advice on this issue.
Dell customer support will not help me since the items are both out of warranty, and the seller will not help me either since it's out of their warranty period. It seems like, however, that my dock should work after only one year of ownership.

Does the system recognizes the charger through the dock, or does it show unknown?
Will the system charge using the OEM AC adapter?
Does the system recognize the battery?
The system is on the order of 7 years old, so no manufacturer warranty will apply to it.

Yes, it recognizes the dock. It does charge using the original adapter. I have replaced the battery once and it is also recognized.
