Dell Precision M6800 Downgrade to Windows 7
Hi all, I recently purchased a Windows 10 Dell Precision M6800. I personally don't like Windows 10 and it was running a bit sluggish on the system. So I decided to downgrade to Windows 7. The whole process went smooth and I got Windows 7 running and operating at full speed. The only problem is that I can't connect to a network either by Ethernet or Wireless. I took a look at Device Manager and saw I was missing the drivers for nearly everything. Of course I can't install them since there is no network. I couldn't find the exact drivers online either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Before considering running Windows 7 at all, bear in mind it has seen no security updates in nearly two years - so it's completely vulnerable to any number of exploits online at this point. If there's an work/business purpose to the system, realize you could be exposing yourself to liability by running Windows 7.
Even if it's for personal use, you are at risk -- and more and more websites will sense Windows 7 and block access. If you don't like the Windows 10 interface, something like OpenShell can turn that into Windows 7 without the security risk.
If you're determined to run Windows 7 despite the security risks, you likely need to install the chipset software before the network driver(s) will load. And you likely won't find completely up to date chipset drivers at this point, since Intel has abandoned Windows 7 with newer driver releases.
It's a dead (and dead-end) OS.
