Dell Precision 7730 screen replacement from 60 to 120hz?

Hello, i just have one question, i got a second hand dell precision 7730, it has 60hz, but i really want to upgrade to a better screen with 120hz, i have checked the hwinfo.

My screen is now
AU Optronics B173HAN01.3
eDP-grensesnitt: eDP 40-pin

I am just wondering if its possible to upgrade the screen to
AUO B173HAN01.4?
it has:
eDP 1.4a, 4 lanes, 40-pin
120Hz

The system manual lists only 60 Hz panels for this model, so buy with extreme caution.  Most sellers won't accept returns on LCD panels, and there's a very good chance the panel won't work (satisfactorily if at all) since the system won't have an EDID for it in its firmware.

If you really need a 120 Hz screen, an external monitor would be a much better idea than this upgrade path.

Manual details here.

The other issue you may face even with a different system is needing to go for an ultra high resolution to get high refresh -- high refresh FHD panels are not all that common.

That's the case with the newer Precision models like the 7780.
