Dell Precision 7730 BIOS Issues
Hi Dell,
The Dell Precision 7730 BIOS update 1.16.1 as at 30/07/21 has issues.
Namely, when docked and after undocking, the laptop's screen freezes or blacksout.
That is, the laptop only works when connected to the dock and externl monitor. Dock is WD19TB.
I have attempted all means of troubleshooting and updating every single driver but it does not work.
I had to revert to the 1.15.3 BIOS version which was stable and fixed the problem.
Could the technicians please look at fixing this with their next BIOS firmware update?

BIOS firmware version 1.15.3 was a stable one that worked for me:

Same issue here. The log just shows failed "docking station" queries. 1.16 is a no go for me. Trying to revert the BIOS now.

Going back to 1.15.3 has restored everything for me as well. Thanks.

The same problem here even without using a dock. After the BIOS update 1.16.1, my Precision 7730 froze at the login screen or in a few seconds after logging in. Reinstalled the Windows twice to be able to roll back to 1.15.3 twice! Won't be upgrading again until the bug is fixed.

Same exact issue. Rolled back BIOS to fix.
DO NOT UPDATE BIOS TO 1.16

This issue continues to take place. My company has lost days of engineering time as a result.
Dell Inc. What is your answer to this?
