Dell Precision 7680 (32gb x 2) SODIMM Interposer 4 white light + 2 amber light
Facing a persistent issue with SODIMM interposer that I purchased to make use of 2 x 32 gb 5600mhz RAM modules. However, only Slot 1 is working (the one that is nearer to the connector). When I install both RAM modules on the interposer I get 4 white + 2 amber light (memory error). I checked that both RAMs individually work on the Slot 1 (successful undervolt to 5200Mhz) but don't work individually on Slot 2. Could it be that Im using the wrong interposer model (LS-L88LP), what model number are you guys using ? Theres another one that exists namely LS-L88BP

Hello,
I am very sorry to hear you are having this issue. It sounds like 1 of them may be faulty. Have you tried each one individually? to see if the computer boots.
If not, I would recommend checking Dell Command or Quick Support for any updates that might address the issue.
I use OFFTEK for any upgrades regarding my Dell machine; they have great support, customer service and upgrades that work.
Regards

How would you decrease the memory speed on the Precision 7680 system? Wouldn't that require some kind of XMP profile in the BIOS, which it doesn't offer on this platform?
I feel native 5200Mhz modules are more likely to run with this system.

@Florian555 but from what I understand, the bios should auto adjust the RAM speeds to 5200 m/s which it actually did for the first slot for both the RAM sticks just the second slot totally no luck even after individually testing it with the RAM sticks
