Dell Precision 7560 Power charger not working after using Dock Station
I have a Dell Precision 7560, and use a dock station at work, when I get home the power charger coming with the laptop does not charge. But if I let the battery on the laptop drain (over night) completely, then the power charger starts working again, it is a repeatable problem. Sounds like after using the dock station, it need some sort of "reset" in order to recognize the power charger. Is this a common issue? Any suggestions to fix it?

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

did you resolve this? Do you have fast startup enabled in the power settings? If fast startup is enabled, the system goes into a type of hibernation instead of powering off and maybe that is the issue.
What bios are you on?
What dock are you using?

The charger starts to work all of sudden after over a week, sounds strange but issue "resolved". Thanks!

I have just received mine (unfortunately after reading this) and had the exact same issue - is there a solution yet? Does this mean you cannot use the dock

1) Start the laptop without charger and connect the charger when PC is up.
2) Start the laptop without charger and go to BIOS settings with F2. (remember to deactivate Bitlocker before if in use) Just exit BIOS without changing anything.
3) Update BIOS if new version is available.
I know the tip 2 sounds crazy. The problem is that your laptop does not recognize the Dell charger.
I have seen this same behavior with some Dell Precision 7550, 7560 and 7670.
Usually everything works just fine but the 0.5% of devices have some problem after BIOS update.
