Dell Precision 7530 BIOS bios update 30 Jul 2021 Version 1.16.1 intel uhd graphics 630 no longer working
Hi,
Since the bios update "Dell Precision 7530 BIOS 30 Jul 2021 Version 1.16.1", The internal intel® uhd graphics 630 is no longer working?
Without the driver of intel the laptop panel works(standaard windows driver). You can change the resolutions and a looks good.
With the UHD driver of intel installed the panel is not working.
You can solve this by routing all the graphics to the discrete graphic cards in the bios, but this has a big impact on power usage.
When will this be fixed?

Update October 1, 2021 = A DELL-Cares agent remoted into the PC and installed the "not then" released BIOS 1.17.0 which corrected the issue.

I had this issue and the video on the laptop display would just freeze. Putting it in sleep and bringing it back out would give me a few seconds more to work with each time. I ended up duplicating the laptop screen to my monitor so I could function. Then I downgraded the BIOS to the prior version (1.15.3) and the problem has gone away.

well this was so weird, it just updated the bios where as I had the manual update setting on. My pc was stuck at the windows page and then I had to shift to discrete graphic card setting as suggested by @togogo . Thanks a lot.
Now am reverting back to the older version bios. Already wasted a lot of time on this thing.
Dell!!, I guess the bios release must b tested well to avoid and unpleasant experiences

What am abosolute disgrace DELL !!!
Just spent 3 hours freaking out before a big trip where I need the machine to be in perfect working order.
Releasing updates like this and not pulling them down weeks after is not acceptable.
This is a premium machine and I've paid a lot for it and the "support".
You have lost a client.

Hi everyone,
Same here.
Could this be only affecting some CPU's ? And that might be the reason for passing undetected by Dell test department
Mine is "Intel® Xeon® E-2186M CPU @ 2.90GHz"

I ended up flashing back to 1.15.3. I'll try the discrete graphics setting in the BIOS. Since v1.16.1 addresses 'security-related' CVEs, I'm required to deploy it to all 7530's. Dell needs to officially recognize this problem.

I updated bios Flash today with major problems, have expensive dell precision 7730 xeon, updated to v1.16 , windows crashes at login, ended up with re-flashing the bios to v1.15, this worked to get windows reloaded, but after another restart of windows wouldn't load, now laptop will not even power up, what a disaster, Will be contacting Dell tomorrow, unnecessary headache, very disappointing
