Dell Precision 7520 won’t turn on
Hello, I bought a used Dell precision 7520 online and about 2 months or used , my laptop hasn’t fall but all of a sudden,
My Dell Precision 7520 doesn't turn on with or without the battery inserted . Below are the various scenarios and its symptoms
1. With only battery, the laptop turns on but no display and shuts down after few seconds
2. With battery and charger plugged in, the battery light comes on. But pressing the power button does nothing and laptop refuses to turn on. However, the battery led light blinks every 17seconds from when the charger is plugged in with or without battery. So whether the battery is inserted or not, the battery led light will turn when charger is plugged in.
I went to the Technician and he said a lot has been coming to him with this same problem so he advised me to return it
Also , ave seen a lot of complaints about this issues online with this very machine and it’s very disturbing including on YouTube, please do something about it

Assuming the technician did basic troubleshooting, the mainboard likely needs to be replaced -- but the advice is sound. If your seller provided a warranty, return the system for a refund.
If not, you're going to find that a replacement board with any kind of warranty will cost about what, if not more than the system is worth.

If your battery light was alternately blinking, it's an indication of unauthenticated power adapter detected.
If you are unable to return the system as suggested, consider to test with a known good working power adapter that is supported by your workstation.
Alternative method to power your 7520 is E-Port replicator PRO3X with 240w power adapter.
