Dell Precision 7520 usb-c connection reliabilty with the original Dell sites intel dynamic tuning driver

Dear Dell engineers,

The USB-C\Thunderbolt connector on the Dell Precision 7520 computer does not work reliably after the Intel tuning driver is installed. It doesn't work with any version that can be downloaded from the Dell website. Only one version downloadable to Dell Precision 7520. I even tried with five previous versions downloadable under Dell Precision 7510, but I had the same problem.

I tried it on five or more Dell Precision 7520 computers with different bios up to he latest 39 versions on different virgin Windows 10 and even Windows 11 in the last about 2 years. I tried with some different and brand new axagon external m.2, 2,5” SSD boxes with switchable disks, with switcable cable usb-a to usb-c.; both end usb-c. The same external boxes works well with usb-a on the computer side. I have a lot of SSD-s, tried with a bounch of them, so it is not the drives faults.

All of these things doesn’t matter.

Only this driver matters: Intel dynamic tuning  driver.

It took a lot time to figure out.

Please Dell engineers fix this problem, because after installing the Intel dynamic tuning controller, you will hear the connection and it shows the device, the new drive letters, then about two-three seconds pass and then the device will disconnect. Need to plug in the usb-c drives on two to five , six sometimes even more occasions to have the connection stay and be useable.

I feel like this can be attributed to some energy saving reason of the controller.

And of course I tried this with the computer pluged in, with fully charged battery, in performance energy mode.

I've tried several instances of everything and it's definitely not the devices or the hardware that matters, because as long as windows 10 is a virgin, installed without internet, like latest Windows 10 Pro 22H2 downloaded from Microsoft site. It works perfectly every time you plug in something. I tried the usb-c on every single driver install at a time. Drivers downloaded from Dell earlier from another computer. At the end, all drivers installed except intel dynamic tuning driver. Without this driver, the usb-c works perfectly, with every plug in, but shows the missing intel tuning drivers rows which is 8 in the device manager.

Please help us on this problem. Thank you,

Sincerely,

Bokeny Varaljai

Complementing my previous post: In the device manager, by disabling the 8 lines starting with "Intel(R) Dynamic Tuning..." under System devices, with the internet turned off, and possibly after a reboot, the usb-c port works again the first time you plug it in. Unfortunately, after a while, with an internet connection, Windows automatically installs the drivers for the disabled devices and then they don't work again. It's unbelievable that even after many years of market presence for a business machine (Dell and Intel) are unable to fix such a terrible error.

Sincerely,
