Dell Precision 5570 WWAN (expansion card)
Hello there,
it seems that the Dell Precision 5570 doesn't support WWAN (4G/5G) connectivity - neither out of the box nor as an expansion card like the Intel XMM 7360 I used in Latitude 5511 M.2 slot - am I right unfortunately or is there a way to get the Precision 5570 WWAN capable?
Best regards and thanks for your help and answers, Daniel

The only way would be a USB WWAN adapter -- check with your service provider to see what they have available (or support).

Thanks, but that's not what I intend to get - I want it straight built-in, not via a hotspot on my mobile, not via an additional USB device. So I think the Precision won't be my next notebook...

Hello again,
is using the predecessor, Precision 5560, an option?
Best regards, Daniel

If you can find one with a WWAN card, possibly -- but note that systems shipping without one usually lack the antenna leads needed by the WWAN card.

In addition to the WWAN card, one will need to get the antenna separately which is attached to the LCD lid cover. Purchase and install a new lid cover that comes with the WWAN antenna. Then route the antenna wirings to WWAN slot location.
Below is example for 7550 and 7760 lid covers.
