Hi Dead_1008,
I have the exact same problem with my Dell Precision 5560. Were you able to solve it? My laptop has an Intel i7 11th gen, 32 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia Quadro T1200. Sometimes, when I turn it on, I notice that the Nvidia GPU is missing from the Device Manager.
What I did was go to Dell's official website, enter the Downloads and Drivers section, and manually search for the drivers using the hardware ID. I found a lot of drivers that Dell's automatic detection software didn't pick up. However, THIS DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I did notice that the Nvidia GPU appears more frequently than before when I turn on the device, but sometimes it completely vanishes.
I've realized that this is not just a corrupted Windows installation issue because sometimes the BIOS also fails to detect the graphics card.
Another thing I noticed is that the laptop is more likely to fail to detect the Nvidia GPU when starting with a low battery or without the charger connected. However, this is inconsistent—sometimes the GPU is detected while running on battery, and other times it disappears even when plugged in and set to Maximum Performance.
This issue is really frustrating, and the only solutions I have left are flashing the BIOS or taking the laptop to Dell service.
